From Living in Distress to Thriving Through Massage Therapy

I became interested in deep tissue massage therapy during a difficult phase of my life. I worked a desk job for eight hours a day and paid the price. By sitting too much and stressing too much, I experienced constant discomfort in my lower body. Sitting through a movie was impossible because the pain was so bad. I began to see chiropractors and Flathead Valley massage therapists to find some relief. The combination seemed to help greatly and a seed was planted of someday attending massage school in Kalispell.

In February 2010, I suddenly, for as yet no medically explainable reason, lost most of the hearing in my left ear while talking on a headset phone at my office job. I realized that my job would be much more difficult without both ears. In earnest, I set a plan in motion that would have me working for a much better company in the Flathead within three months. I would do similar work that would allow me to work part-time while attending massage school.  Subsequently, I graduated from MIMT in May 2011 and obtained my license through the state. Here we are! I have a new passion for health and the ability to facilitate healing through massage.

I specialize in ashiatsu, deep tissue massage therapy, neuromuscular therapy, Swedish, trigger point, kinesio taping, and chair massage.  My wife and family have been very supportive of my career change, and for that, I will always be grateful. The better health I have through massage has allowed me to continue the many sports and hobbies I enjoy, including ski-biking, unicycles, music, hiking, and snorkeling.
