So you’ve heard the stories about the good ol’ days when doctors would make house calls, right? In the massage therapy world there exists such a thing, and it’s known as OUTCALL. “Wow, you’re kidding! A massage therapist in Kalispell, Mt. will bring their table, sheets, and skills to my home and work on me there?” Yep, I sure will. Mobile massage therapy could be your new best friend! Within a 20 mile radius of my office, I will bring the healing right to your doorstep, providing you have enough space for me to work comfortably, and no stairs or obstacles to navigate. Outcall is a flate rate of $110.00 per hour, $$140.00 for 90. minutes, minimum 1 hour, and the appointments must be booked by phone. Just like an office visit, first time clients fill out a short medical history form and waiver which can be completed while I set up your mobile massage table. Then we discuss how I can best serve your needs, and the healing begins. Music? Yep, I can provide that or we can use your own setup. Credit cards? Yep, just like in my office I accept cash, local check, or I can process a credit or debit card payment through my smart phone and text or email you a receipt, which I would suggest you submit to insurance (it may go towards the deductible).
In large cities outcall services are very common, including mobile massage therapy spas. Massage therapists who like working in a specific hotel will often compete, tipping the concierge so they are the first one on his list to call when a guest requests massage therapy in their room. One company I’m aware of has a slogan “At your door in an hour!”
There are many benefits for the client receiving outcall, or housecall massage in the Flathead Valley. If you are homebound due to an injury or non-communicable sickness, what a blessing to have someone come to you! Drive home and ruin the relaxation you just acquired from your massage session? Not gonna happen with outcall, you can pay me before the session and when we’re done you can go to sleep in your own bed while I quietly pack my table and let myself out. I can do up to 5 hours of treatments, with reasonable time in between sessions to change the sheets and wash my hands, and prepare for the next client.
