Licensed Massage Therapist
I graduated from MIMT in May, 2011 and obtained my license through Montana state. I’m a massage therapist in the Kalispell area. With a new passion for health, I use my ability to facilitate healing for those who pursue wellness through massage.
Ashiatsu Massage
Ashiatsu, which comes from the Japanese words “ashi” (foot) and “atsu” (pressure), is a type of massage where the therapist uses their feet to apply deep gliding strokes and compression, as needed. The therapist typically holds onto overhead bars for balance. This unique approach allows for deeper, broader pressure than can be done using the hands alone. It helps relieve muscle tension, influence circulation, and provide an excellent therapeutic experience outside the box of the usual cookie-cutter massage.
Kinesio taping
Kinesio (short for kinesiology) taping is a therapeutic technique that involves applying a mostly cotton blend of elastic tape to the skin, in specific patterns. It works to reduce pain, influence circulation, and provide support but still allows a good range of motion. If it’s good enough for physical therapists and elite athletes, it’s good enough for us, right? The tape can be a great way to improve posture! Maybe most importantly, it’s something I can show you how to do for yourself, or others.
Chair Massage
Chair massage is a type of massage therapy performed while the client is seated in a specifically designed massage chair. During the 20-minute session, the massage therapist can treat mainly upper body concerns such as neck, back, shoulders, and arms. Kneading, compression, stretching, occasional cupping vibrational tools, and even doTERRA essential oils are used to reduce stress, renew tired muscles, improve circulation, and provide a relaxing experience without undressing or paperwork.
My Approach
Music can have a profound effect on the nervous system! My many years of experience, along with your preferences, will determine what therapy tools we’ll use. This may include Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point massage therapy, cupping, kinesio taping, ice, heat, topical pain relievers, and even doTERRA essential oils. All are designed to alleviate tension, reduce pain and inflammation, and send you home ready to solve all the world’s problems! (Just one at a time please, save some work for the rest of us!!😃🤣)
