Using a Hot Tub Before and After Massage Therapy Can Help!
In February 2021, I buy a two-person blow-up hot tub online from Aleko. It’s the best $500 I’ve ever spent!
The Benefits of Hot and Cold Therapy
As a massage therapist in Kalispell, I see the benefits of both hot and cold therapy every day. I always want a hot tub but don’t realize blow-up versions exist. A client tells me he and his girlfriend love theirs, so I find one online that fits my patio. Here we are! Click here to check out Aleko’s products.
Plan Ahead to Heat the Hot Tub Before a Massage
After filling the tub with a garden hose, it takes about 48 hours to heat up. It’s portable and comes with a built-in pump and heater. That’s where my only issue begins—the heater.
Two months in, the heater burns out. Aleko sends me a new one, which I install in three hours. It lasts a month before failing. Then, Aleko sends me a whole new tub. Now, I repurpose the old one as an ice bath!
Ice and Heat Aid Deep Tissue Massage
Now, I have both hot and cold therapy pools in my backyard. Ice reduces inflammation. Heat relaxes muscles, boosts circulation, and speeds up recovery. Using a hot tub before a massage loosens muscles, making deep work easier. Afterward, warm water helps release lingering tension and improves flexibility. Plus, it extends that post-massage relaxation!
How Many People Fit in a Hot Tub?
Here’s a photo of my wife, Sharmon, enjoying our hot tub in Kalispell. Two medium-sized people fit comfortably. The four-person versions are more popular, and their covers fit better than the one on my unit.
The tub has two filters that screw into the wall. Due to supply chain issues, Aleko has been out of stock for months. Surprisingly, skipping filter changes hasn’t harmed my tub.
I use a Frog brand floating bromine dispenser to keep the water clean and balanced. You can find it here. It flips upside down when it’s time to replace it—super convenient!
Hot Tub Performance and Customer Service
The tub heats up to 108°F, which is plenty warm, even in winter. I’m thrilled with Aleko’s hot tub and customer service. If you’re considering one, check them out here.
I love using this stress reliever before and after a massage—just as much in August as in February.
Cheers!
The hot tub heats to a max of 108 degrees, which I’ve found is plenty hot even in the dead of winter. I’m very pleased with Aleko, the maker of this hot tub, and delighted with their customer service. I’ve found that I enjoy using this stress reducer before and after massage just as much in August as I did in February.
CHEERS!
